Alexander Steele is working with a reputable drinks manufacturing business based in central Scotland. The organisation is looking for an Energy Engineer responsible for their utilities and energy across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that wants to be part of a leader in the drinks industry. It is a brilliant opening for someone with a strong engineering background in manufacturing who wants to challenge themselves in the wonderful alcoholic drink manufacturing industry. On Offer: • £60,000 - £70,000 • Company Profit Share & Bonus Scheme • 15% company pension • Private Medical Insurance • Life Assurance – 6 times basic salary • Employee Assistance Programme • Cycle to work scheme • The role is Monday - Friday, on day shift The Role • Assist the Company by ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of utilities equipment on the site. • Support Production Departments with Energy monitoring and usage reduction measures. • Utilities Equipment includes: • Site water supplies (towns and canal) • Electricity supply and distribution up to and including transformers Natural gas supply and on-site pressure regulation • Steam raising and supply up to the boiler house header • Compressed air generation up to air receiver • CO2 collection, processing and storage • AD, WTP, Bio Gas Engine and Waste Heat Boiler • Cooling Towers and associated Water Hygiene Systems The Candidate • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or logistics environment. • EITB / City & Guilds or equivalent time served in an Engineering Apprenticeship • Degree Qualified in an Engineering Discipline • Trained, competent and experienced in Permit to Work systems, risk assessments and method statements • Boiler Operations Management trained and skilled in accordance with SAFED/HSE requirements. • Ability to conduct training for Reliability topics • Maintaining awareness of current health, safety and environmental legislation and guidance to inform best practices.
