A Food manufacturing business in South Lanarkshire are in the market for a SHE manager. As SHE Manager you will be supporting their Site Senior Team, Operational Leadership Teams, HSE Business Partner in developing and delivering best-in-class Health and Safety solutions. To be a success in this role, you will be a team player with a can-do attitude. You will be confident and assertive with a solution focused approach to safety and health with strong facilitation, organizational, communication (written and verbal) and project management skills. Previous experience of working in the food manufacturing industry is essential. The successful candidate will understand current and proposed HSE legislation. On Offer: •£50,000 - £55,000 •Monday – Friday •8:30am – 5pm •6% Pension •33 days annual leave •Death in Service Benefit •Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Leave •Free Employee Assistance Program Responsibilities •As SHE Manager you will be responsible for promoting a SHE culture, encouraging strong leadership through competency, worker engagement and behaviors. You will be working closely with the senior leadership team and operational teams in setting objectives for their teams, drive continuous improvement and successfully deliver local site strategic objectives. •In this role you will develop and undertake external audits to ensure continual improvement across all sites and ensure the highest levels of SHE leadership by providing expert advice to the sites. •You will provide advice at all levels to ensure the highest possible standard of Safety, Health and Environmental management is achieved in compliance with our SHE policies and to lead the development and implementation of the local SHE delivery plans. •You will also be coaching, supporting and developing individuals and teams to own SHE matters, driving continuous improvement and changing culture. Experience required: •Knowledge and Experience of ISO type management systems. •Current Full Driving Licence. •Member of an approved safety organisation. •NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification e.g. SVQ Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. •Ability to interface and influence people at all levels of the organisation. •Strong ability to prioritise workload and multi task coupled with an attention to detail. •Good Microsoft Office skills (specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). •CertIOSH Member of IOSH. •Environmental qualification is an advantage. •Lead auditor status If you are interested in hearing more about this position, please apply with your most recent CV.
