Sales manager - Ingredients Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of one of North America's biggest manufacturer of milled products. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team in the UK as a Sales Manager - reporting directly into the Sales Director. This role will focus on maitaining & winning business with B2B manufacturing accounts ranging from small SME's to larger blue chip organisations. Responsible for executing the oat milling and food & ingredients sales strategy for the UK. This position plays a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with existing UK customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across our portfolio of food ingredients within the region. Responsibilties: • Identify and secure new oat milling business opportunities, including potential customers, partnerships, and distribution channels. • Identify and secure new ingredients business opportunities across all product lines in oat milling and malting. • Act as primary contact for major accounts, maintain strong relationships, address needs, resolve issues to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. • Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell and cross-sell oat milling and malt ingredients products. • Assist in development and implementation of the sales strategy to the assigned market, aiming to achieve budgeted sales and growth targets. • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data- driven decisions within the assigned market. • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management, provide insights and recommendations specific to the assigned market. • Liaise with customers and product innovation team on new product development. • Develop proposals and presentations tailored to the assigned market. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Degree in business, marketing, food science or related field • Minimum 5 years progressive sales and account management experience • A valid driver’s license is required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Demonstrated experience in the food processing industry and commodity markets specific to the assigned market • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated presentation and negotiation skills • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service, capable of developing and maintaining strong customer relationships • Self-motivated, results oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve targets and drive revenue growth • High level business acumen, with the ability to understand and navigate complex business environments • Fluent in English, both oral and written • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Valid passport with the ability to travel within the UK, EU, and international markets.
