Alexander Steele Recruitment are working exclusively with one of the UK's most innovation food manufacturers. Due to exciting and ongoing growth the business is looking to appoint an NPD Manager at their state of the art facility in London. A salary of circa £50,000 does is on offer for this role plus excellent career development opportunities! The role: As NPD Manager you will be responsible for driving and managing a range of NPD and EPD projects from concept to launch to produce delicious quality products for a range of customers including retailers and food services outlets across the UK. Key accountabilities; • Work with the NPD and other relevant teams on customer briefs and present to internal & external stakeholder teams on concepts. • Presentation of new ideas with strong rationale for launch. • Work collaboratively with the wider business to trial costings and feasibility of new products. • Plan and manage factory trials and first product runs. • Plan market research and necessary panelling when required. • Lead, manage and work with NPD Technologists on the preparation of customer presentations, including making of samples, costings and documentation • Take feedback from customer meetings and communicate to site teams. Ensure relevant action is taken. • Manage all critical paths to ensure they are delivered in a timely manner. • Ensure yourself and your team are knowledgeable on global, national, and local food trends to ensure the business is creating category leading products. • Ensure yourself and your teams are knowledgeable on the legislative requirements. The candidate: • At least 3 years experience in a similar role within a fast paced food manufacturing facility • Holds a degree in a food science / innovation subject or equivalent • A creative and passionate foodie with an exceptional palate and understanding of flavour profiles • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to multi-task multiple projects. • Ability to engage with stakeholders all levels.
