Demand Planner

Alexander Steele has partnered with a fast-growing Food business that has an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planner to create accurate forecasts and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand efficiently. Key responsibilities: • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for all products, considering factors such as historical sales data, demand fluctuations, market trends, seasonality and shipping issues. • Monitor inventory levels across multiple distribution centres to ensure optimal stock levels while minimising excess inventory and stockouts. • Work closely with procurement, sales and supply chain to communicate forecasted demand and ensure timely production and shipment scheduling. • Proactively identify and address demand-related issues, such as shortages or surplus inventory, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. Candidate requirements: • Demand Planning, Forecasting and Inventory Management experience within a FMCG environment • A relevant tertiary qualification • A strong understanding of market trends and data analysis skills • Good communication skills and ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams. On Offer: Basic Salary of £30K to £45K + Bonus 25 leave days + 8 bank holidays The role will be based in Surrey Hybrid remote working options (4 days in the office)
