Alexander Steele have partnered with a leading hospitality group in Scotland to recruit a talented and passionate Chef de Partie for a highly regarded fine dining restaurant in the heart of St Andrews.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and creative team delivering a seasonal tasting menu that celebrates the very best of Scotland’s natural larder. With a luxury wine list, innovative bar selection, and an upbeat yet refined atmosphere, the restaurant offers a truly elevated dining experience.

About the Role:

As Chef de Partie, you’ll be responsible for your own section within the kitchen and play a key role in ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards during every service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a specific section of the kitchen during service

  • Prepare and present dishes to fine dining standards

  • Work closely with senior chefs to maintain consistency and quality

  • Help train and support junior team members

  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety practices

  • Contribute ideas for seasonal dishes and menu development

  • Ensure daily mise en place and stock levels are maintained

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef in a fine dining or high-end kitchen

  • Passionate about food, seasonality, and quality produce

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • A team player with a positive, proactive attitude

  • Committed to learning and continuous improvement
