Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager Alexander Steele is working in partnership with a successful, global food business to find them a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their growing sales team. In this key role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and driving sales growth. You will play a crucial role in expanding market presence and ensuring that the businesses products are the preferred choice for food service and hospitality businesses. Key Responsibilities: Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Proactively seek out new clients in the food service and hospitality sectors. Understand their needs and tailor offerings to meet them. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets. Regularly assess market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities. Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and the successful launch of new products. Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with potential clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Close deals that align with the company’s goals and contribute to revenue growth. Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on sales progress, market trends, and potential risks. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments. Requirements: Proven experience in a Business Development or Sales role, preferably within the food service, hospitality, or FMCG sectors. Strong understanding of food service and hospitality markets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to travel around North Yorkshire, Darlington, Durham, and Consett. Valid driver’s license.
