We're delighted to announce that we have partnered with a successful and market-leading FMCG brand to find a Head of eCommerce & Digital Marketing to join their growing team. Circa £80k base + package. Edinburgh based. This rare and exciting role will require a dynamic and experienced Ecommerce individual to lead the businesses digital marketing efforts and drive their eCommerce strategy. You will be at the forefront of enhancing the brand's online presence, maximising digital channels, and accelerating their eCommerce growth Summary of Role: You will have the opportunity to shape and execute innovative strategies that not only attract and engage customers but also drive sales and revenue growth. This role will involve a blend of strategic planning, creative thinking, and analytical prowess to optimise the brands digital footprint across various online platforms. Additional responsibilities: Strategic Planning Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy to increase eCommerce sales and enhance brand visibility. eCommerce Management Oversee the management of the eCommerce platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient customer journey. Implement strategies to optimise website design, user experience (UX), and customer journey to increase conversion rates. Collaborate with product and inventory teams to ensure product listings are optimised for both search and user experience. Analyse sales data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimise inventory management. Ensure the eCommerce platform is integrated with other digital marketing efforts for a cohesive strategy. SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to increase organic search rankings and visibility. Conduct keyword research and optimise website content, including blogs, product descriptions, and metadata. Monitor and analyse SEO performance using tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog and adjust as needed. Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes. Email Marketing Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns to engage and retain customers. Develop segmentation strategies to personalise email content for different audience segments. Analyse campaign performance and adjust strategies for better engagement and conversion rates. Ensure compliance with anti-spam and data protection regulations. Social Media Management (Organic) Create and execute a social media strategy aligned with brand values and goals, focusing on organic growth. Develop and curate engaging content for various social media platforms. Monitor social media trends and leverage them to increase brand visibility and engagement. Foster community engagement by responding to comments and messages in a timely manner. Digital Marketing Lead digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing. The ideal candidate will have: A degree in eCommerce, Digital Marketing, PR, Business, or a related field. A minimum 5 years of experience in eCommerce Trading and platform management, Digital Brand management, PR management or a related digital commerce trading and marketing role. The ability to think long-term and to identify both opportunities and threats to the brand. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A proven track record of executing innovative brand campaigns.
