Customer Development Manager Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a world-famous, global spirit company on an exciting new opportunity. This role is focusing on On Trade customers and includes account management, with some business development. Territory covers Bristol, Bath and Exeter. Field-based role with 1-2 days per week WFH. Salary up to £38K (DOE) + Car allowance + 10% bonus. Responsibilities: Management of a portfolio of customer accounts to meet and exceed budgeted volume and value sales. Increase distribution of the portfolio and grow rate of sale within a large and diverse customer base, developing robust JBPs/JMPs. Differentiate the client's brands by creating and executing innovative in-outlet activation, striving to secure maximum visibility of their brands. Build and develop relationships with key customers and groups within your territory, becoming the go-to supplier. Train and educate outlet team members to deliver perfect serves and collaborate to create new and exciting cocktails, delivering increased ROS. Proactively seek out new business opportunities to grow their on-trade customer base. Understand and deliver insight to the business on weekly and monthly customer performance, drive action from this and deliver incremental growth Ensure accurate internal communication to supply team re promotions/activations/changes to distribution are kept up to date Cross-functional working within the UK business and international departments. Develop excellent product knowledge and be critically aware of all market trends across beers wines and spirits. Experience: Prior experience in sales, marketing, or related field within the On-Trade. Brands drinks experience and use in cocktails would be advantageous. Entrepreneurial and ambitious self-starter with the ability to achieve targets and effectively organise own work schedule. Strong communication skills (both written and oral). Strong commercial/financial understanding, together with intellect and curiosity to interpret performance, recommending appropriate actions. Ability to manage projects and multi-task whilst building strong and positive relationships at all levels (internal and external). Comfortable managing some key accounts, and building strong commercial relationships. Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, being pro-active and able to handle uncertainty. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Passionate about spirits and the beverage industry.
