Workign with our client on an exciting opportunity: to work for a market-leading household food brand + own label food manufacturer. Retail Customer focused. Leeds- Hybrid working. Salary up to £50K (DOE). Key Responsibilities: Driving customer & category strategies to influence the key category levers such as range, merchandising and pricing & promotionst. Delivering expertise on the market, category and shopper to identify risks and opportunities for customers and the business to deliver category growth. Collaborating with cross functional internal and external customer teams, ensuring insights are at the heart of all decision making and initiatives, including the innovation pipeline. Working collaboratively with the commercial and brand team, providing insight into market activity and enabling specific recommendations based on highlighted trends. Analysing NPD launches and activity, making recommendations for future innovation and activation. Conducting regular store visits and collating key market insight including promotions, merchandising changes, NPD and cross category insight. Creating reports and performing market audits to assist in category and business growth. The ideal candidate will have the following: 4 years of previous experience in a Category Management role within FMCG. Excellent data interpretation and analysis skills, with the aptitude to pull out key insights and actionable recommendations. Expert knowledge of market data platforms such as Nielsen and Kantar. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally. Ability to present in an engaging manner to a variety of stakeholders. Highly proficient user of Excel and PowerPoint to manipulate and present data. Ability to multitask and work well both independently and as part of a team.
